Employer Seminar: Labor Law Expert, Richard J. Simmons, Esq.
What is the SEAC?
The Sacramento Employers Advisory Council
The SEAC is a cross-section of local employer
volunteers from businesses throughout the Sacramento
area.
The SEAC helps educate employers about relevant
employment issues and related legal concerns.
We
partner with EDD to increase cooperation and
communication between EDD and the private sector,
and identify ways to improve EDD services.
The SEAC
also assists employers in their efforts to give back
to their communities by advocating local workforce
development efforts, supporting veterans' stand
downs and a variety of employment and
educationally focused not-for-profits, and by providing
scholarships to local area youth.
We present an alternative to the large, faceless
associations that are expensive to attend/join and
seem to lose focus on what most employers are looking
for, which in most cases involve "nuts and bolts"
information presented by well-respected experts, that
non-experts understand.
We are large enough to attract
great speakers, yet small enough to allow you to ask
direct questions during the presentation.
We understand
your time is valuable and strive to justify your
investment.
We offer monthly luncheons where attorneys and
other professional human resource experts present
their material in 55-minute presentations with
informational handouts.
We also present an annual,
all-day seminar in October, where several experts
offer presentations on a variety of topics.
Please explore our website and let us know what you think.
